Music is the Journey
A saxophonist since he was 13, Lemuel is a budding talent in Singapore's Jazz scene inspired by the likes of Grant Green, Hank Mobley, Ray Charles and Stanley Turrentine, Lemuel has a deep passion for the blues and soul music as well. Growing up he was exposed to music his whole life with his mother and father being musicians as well. Starting his passion for improvisational music in the SP Jazz band, Lemuel has participated in the Singapore International Jazz Festival 2016 and 2017, the Lion City Youth Jazz Festival 2021 and the Aspire: Five Week Music Performance Intensive at Berklee where he studied under Lihi Haruvi.
Lemuel now leads his own organ quartet “Leewei”, debuting at The Jazz loft at Blu jaz Café in 2023. Lemuel will graduate from Lasalle with a BA (hon) in Jazz Performance at the end of the 2023/2024 academic year.

Lemuel was given a partial scholarship to attend the Berklee 5-week intensive where he performed in numerous groups including the Jazz Fusion All-Stars band and held the 1st Alto chair in a big band led by Greg Hopkins
Teaching
June 2020 - Present
Lemuel has always been associated with teaching music as his mother was a piano teacher for Yamaha music school. Students range from the ages of 7 to 77! Lemuel is keen to help others find their love and passion in the saxophone regardless of age!
